Welcome to Proper Biltong!

We’re so glad you’re here. We want to keep things simple and honest—we’re here to provide great biltong, not to hide behind a bunch of legal jargon. That said, we do have some ground rules to keep everything running smoothly.

By hanging out on our site or buying our snacks, you’re agreeing to these basics:


The Big Stuff

  • The Basics: You’re at least 18 (or have a parent’s okay), and the info you give us for shipping and payment is accurate.

  • Our Products: We do our best to make the photos look exactly like the snacks, but screens can be tricky with colors. If something isn't right, let us know—we'll always try to make it right.

  • Orders & Pricing: Prices can change, and sometimes we run out of stock. If we have to cancel or change an order you’ve already placed, we’ll reach out to you immediately to explain why.

  • Shipping: Once we hand your biltong over to the delivery folks, it’s technically in their hands, but if your package goes missing or arrives a mess, reach out to us at steve@properbiltong.com and we’ll help track it down or fix the situation.

Being Good Neighbors

  • Respect the Brand: We put a lot of work into our name and look. Please don’t use our logos or content for your own business without asking first.

  • Feedback: We love hearing from you! If you send us a suggestion or a review, just know we might share it to show others how much people love the snacks.

  • Play Fair: No hacking, spamming, or being a jerk on our site. Pretty standard stuff!

The "Legal Safety Net"

  • Liability: While we stand by our quality, we have to mention that we aren't responsible for tech glitches or delivery delays outside our control. Our lawyers also make us say that we provide everything "as is," but our human side says we’ll do our absolute best to ensure you're happy.

  • Privacy: Your data is safe with us and Shopify. We only use it to get your snacks to your door and make your experience better.

  • Changes: We might update these rules occasionally. If we make a huge change, we’ll do our best to let you know.
