Cancellation Policy

We get it—plans change. Whether you accidentally doubled your order or realized you’re going to be out of town when the biltong arrives, we want to make pauses or cancellations as painless as possible.


Because we harvest our biltong in fresh batches, there’s a specific window where we can easily hit the "stop" button.

  • Before the Harvest: As long as your order hasn't been sliced, packed, and prepped for shipping, we can cancel it for a full refund, no questions asked.

  • Once it’s Packed: Since this is a fresh food product tailored to your order, once it’s sealed up and the shipping label is printed, we usually can't cancel it. At that point, the biltong is officially on a mission to reach you!

How to Cancel

If you need to pull the plug on an order, speed is key.

  • Email Steve: Send a note to steve@properbiltong.com with "CANCEL" and your order number in the subject line.

  • We’ll Move Fast: We check these emails constantly. If we can catch it before it leaves the Biltonginator, we’ll take care of it immediately.

The No-Charge Guarantee

Remember, we don’t charge your card until your order actually ships. If we’re able to cancel your order in time, you’ll never see a charge hit your account in the first place—just a temporary authorization that will vanish on its own.
